The Internet of Things Industry Alliance and the Italian WMF Organizing Committee successfully signed the International Science and Technology Carnival project. On December 24, 2020, Zhongguancun Internet of Things Industry Alliance and the Italian “We Make Future” Organizing Committee, Guangzhou Youyi Institute International Culture Communication Co., Ltd. successfully signed a contract in Beijing to introduce Europe’s largest science and technology carnival project into China, land in Hainan, and present a gift to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy.

We Make Future (English abbreviation WMF), the Chinese translation of “We Create the Future”, was born in Rimini, Italy in 2016, each event 3-5 days, after six years of development, is currently Europe’s largest online and in-person Technological and cultural innovation and creativity carnival. The industries and topics covered by the event include robotics and artificial intelligence, aerospace, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, big data and high-tech companies, cultural tourism innovation companies, environmental protection companies, advertising media industry, online games and e-sports companies, and philanthropy Wait. In 2019, there were 21,000 participants from all over Europe, 80 scientific and technological activities and theatrical performances were held, nearly 100 training lectures were conducted in 55 training rooms, and 40 project matchmaking meetings were also held. A total of 500 partners and exhibitors, 600 start-up companies, and 500 speakers participated.

The event consists of 8 parts: WMF Entrepreneurship Competition, Innovation Technology Zone, Digital Innovation Activities and Training, Digital Job Fair, Digital Tourism Festival, Fast Meeting and Docking, WMF Lab: Education for Change, WMF Summer School. In the future, the organic integration of these sectors with domestic innovation resources will open a new chapter in China-EU cooperation in China.

At the meeting, Gianluca Brasini, city councilor of Rimini, Italy, Cosmano Lombardo, founder of WMF, Wang Zhengwei, secretary general of Zhongguancun Internet of Things Industry Alliance, Wang Jia, secretary general of the Ecological Health Committee of China Forestry Ecological Development Promotion Association, Chen Liansheng, deputy director of China International Education Television, Fan Zhipeng, a partner of Guangzhou Youyi International Culture Communication Co., Ltd., made a keynote speech. Fang Yu, director of the Outreach Office of the Eco-Health Industry Research Center of the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University, the EU-China Committee, and the Global Education, Science and Culture Association and other leaders attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates Together they witnessed the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, and on Christmas Eve in this special year, China-EU cooperation bears new fruits.
